Venture to the rural area of western Miami County to visit Pleasant Hill, Ohio. It was named after the
Pleasant Hill post office that was originally located on a hill south of town because it was a pleasant
place to live. You know when you’ve arrived in Pleasant Hill because of the monument in the middle of
town. This monument was erected in 1895 and honors the fallen heroes from the Civil War who sleep in
unknown graves.
Make sure to get some delicious coffee or ice cream from Local Coffee and Cream. Housed in an old
local grain elevator and silo at The Exchange, Local Coffee and Cream is sure to hit the spot. While at The
Exchange, try your hand at Axe Throwing. Available seasonally, an axe throwing guide will help you
master the stick.
Enjoy the quaint town of Pleasant Hill on your next visit to Miami County.
