A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun and thereby obscures the view of the Sun from a small part of the Earth, in totality.
The anticipated 2024 total solar eclipse in Ohio promises a remarkable celestial event, though its duration will be relatively brief, lasting no more than five minutes. However, even those outside the path of totality will have the opportunity to witness a partial solar eclipse both before and after the moment of totality. While viewers positioned beyond the outer boundaries of totality will observe a partial eclipse, it is important to note that the experience of witnessing the 2024 total solar eclipse, regardless of the duration, is sure to be awe-inspiring and memorable for all who partake.
